Fireman's Park at Buckeye Lake
CFD Park is a private campground on Buckeye Lake for active and retired Columbus Division of Fire firemen and their families.
The Park was started in 1953 by a group of Columbus firefighters who had the forsight to think a park like this would be an everlasting benefit for firemen and their families. It has evolved from a simple campground with pop-up tents and outhouses to travel trailers, boat docks, and a "state-of-the-art" shower house.
The Park has two parcels. The first parcel being 9.1 acres and houses the trailers, boats, and all activities occur there. The second parcel is 10.5 acres (located across the road) and is currently undeveloped.

Over the Memorial Day weekend there was some vandalism done in the men’s restroom of the the shower house. Sunday morning it
was discovered that soap had been smeared all over the mirrors, all the shower and toilet stall doors had been locked, and there was an
attempt to start the toilet paper rolls on fire. If we learn who is responsible for these actions , those campers will be ejected from the park
and we will prosecute. Let this be a warning to anyone who thinks this will be ignored, 'it will not'.
We all know that many of the businesses around the lake depend on summer traffic for a large portion of their income. When at the park,
please use local businesses for meals, entertainment, and purchases. Let's be good neighbors and supporters.
